What is CA number in the electricity bill?
CA number full form contract account number. It is a unique number provided by your utility company. With the help of the CA number, you can view and pay your electricity bill. Actually, it is the ID number by which your utility company recognizes your electricity connection and its details. In the different states, its name is different. Some companies mention it as Consumer ID, Consumer number, Customer ID, Account No, खाता संख्या, उपभोक्ता संख्या, etc. But all are the same and for the same purpose.
Where to find CA number in the electricity bill?
Different distribution companies(Discoms) mention their consumer ID or account number of electricity bills in a slightly different place. In most cases, it is in the upper section of the bill. Now we will see the bill of NBPDCL and SBPDCL as an example to know where you can find the CA number of your electricity bill.
CA number in SBPDCL and NBPDCL
In Bihar, there are two formats of bills. One for rural areas and another for urban areas.
For urban area
In the urban area, you can see “खाता संख्या” in the online downloaded bill. or in the bill provided by the meter reader, you can see as “CA Number” as shown in the below image.
For rural area
In rural areas, you can see it as ” उपभोक्ता संख्या” in both downloaded bill and spot bill as shown below.
